Meet Stockholm events in June 2026
June was the busiest month of the first summer. Midsummer was celebrated twice — traditionally at Skansen and out in the archipelago at Grinda — and the rest of the month filled up with a hike around Flaten, a SUP trip, basketball in Rålambshovsparken, volleyball, a dog walk in Tantolunden, breathwork and fika at Långholmen, a museum visit to Fotografiska, painting in the park, World Cup matches together, and a jazz jam at Stampen.

Let's Paint in the Park An outdoor painting meetup for anyone who wants to create something, meet people, and spend an afternoon doing something that actually feels good. Everyone paints, and that includes complete beginners. Bring your own setup and work on whatever you like, or let the park inspire you. There's no theme or goal, just making something. If you've never painted before, you're in the right place. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and there's always friendly guidance available if you want a nudge in the right direction. Most people are figuring it out as they go. Just a group of people making things together outside, without critique or pressure. What you actually get out of it: a few hours where you're fully present, something made with your hands, and a little community of people who show up to create. Don't have supplies? Reserve a painting kit for 150 SEK and you'll have everything you need: canvas, acrylic paints, brushes, a palette, and all the basics to make a real painting from start to finish. Nothing to buy or figure out beforehand. You take your finished painting home. Kit reservation required 24 hours in advance. Bring a blanket, snacks, water and anything to feel comfortable outside. Hey everyone, As many of you know, Marcus will be moving away from Sweden soon. Before that happens, We'd love to have one last big get-together. The planning is to gather everyone in Hagaparken on Saturday, June 27th from 14:00 onward. Think of it as a Midsummer/potluck-style redux: bring something to eat, drink, and share - and come enjoy an afternoon and evening of lawn games, socializing, music and hopefully some sun. Let's go for a trip around Långholmen and/or Reimersholme. The trip itself is ~3h. Beginner friendly, with basic teaching and rest breaks. If you can't stand you can always sit - almost no risk of getting wet. We start at a rental place (https://maps.app.goo.gl/NFaMde4rrgnRbEqk7), so if you don't have a SUP you can get one: https://www.supkajak.se/booking/produkt/supkajak-event-day-get-together/ The price is 330 for 4h (incl. time for preparations). There is ~15 sups available. Make sure to book if you want a guarantee. - Bring swimwear and probably some water/snack; - You can get a dry bag if you rent a sup or you can leave your things at the rental place; There is an option to join us on a kayak - this one please rent yourself for the same date/duration. And if you want to bring your inflatable one - my pump should support up to 4 sups. See you!

Hike around Flaten

Happy long weekend to all and Glad Midsommar! In case you wake up without a hang over on Saturday morning, let's go for a slow paced hike in nature. Let's meet at 12:00 at Stora Flaten, Flatenbadet. The hike is 6km long so please wear comfortable shoes. Remember to bring water and something to eat. We'll stop 2/3 of the hike for a snack break. It might rain a little so dress accordingly. We’ll head out to the island Grinda. A beautiful place out in the archipelago. Let’s do a potluck. Bring whatever food and snacks you want and we can share it amongst ourselves. Brings A LOT of water. And remember to purchase everything you need from Systembolaget the day before. We will most likely not be able to BBQ, as any or all fires will be prohibited during this time of year. You can get there easily by taking the Walholmsbolaget ferry. There will be a lot of trips on midsummer. My suggestion is that as many of us as possible take the same boat. Ticket is 125kr. One of us will head out early to secure a spot for our large group. Another one will be standing by the ferry terminal to make sure everyone gets on the right boat.’ Ferry trip is about 1 hour and 40 minutes. My suggestions is to take the ferry 9.30 from Strömkajen. We’ll arrive 11.10. Perfect for a joint lunch! There will be live music, both by us in the group and by the organizers. Silly dancing around a huge penis (Midsommarstång), a lot of laughter and good vibes. For those of you who’d like to stay and party, you can either rent a cabin or bring a tent.
