Meet Stockholm — find your people
Meet Stockholm is Stockholm's most active social community, with over 5,000 members
and events happening daily. It's a member-led community: anyone can host and
anyone can show up. It runs as a free WhatsApp community plus in-person events across
the city — organized by members, for members.
Members are mostly in their 20s to 50s, but everyone friendly is welcome.
The community is a mix of native Swedes, internationals, expats, returners,
and newcomers. English is the common language in the group so nobody's excluded,
but plenty of Swedish gets spoken at events too.
How it works
- Join the free WhatsApp community — tap "Join the community" and you'll be added to the group. No application, no fee, no waiting list.
- See what's happening — members share meetups, plans, and questions daily in the chat. You can always ask "what's everyone doing tonight?" or "what's happening this week?"
- Show up — come to any event that looks good. Most are free and open to all.
- Host something — once time and place are set, members tap 📎 → Event in the group chat and it gets added to the shared public calendar automatically.
What we do
- Bi-weekly Thursday Pub at Bishops Arms Gamla Stan (Tyska brinken 36, Stockholm) — 70–100 people every time, 18:00–22:30, free entry, no signup.
- Member-hosted events almost every day: nights out, fika meetups, karaoke, stand-up comedy, sports, outdoor adventures, and more.
- Spontaneous plans live in the group chat itself; scheduled events land on the public calendar at meetstockholm.org/events.
Supporting membership (optional)
A supporting membership costs 70 SEK/month with a 14-day free trial. It funds the community
and unlocks perks: a live event map, discounts at partner venues, and a digital membership card.
Joining the community itself is always free.
Who it's for
Anyone who wants a low-friction way to actually meet people in Stockholm — Swedes and
internationals alike, whether you've lived here your whole life, just moved, or moved back.
Most members are in their 20s to 50s. The only real filter is being friendly.
